Can the Foster XR1300L freezer be used in a walk-in cold room?

Most refrigeration, including the Foster XR1300L, has both a maximum and minimum ambient working temperature. This means they work as designed when positioned in a room which isn't too hot or cold for them. Cold rooms are generally set for below 10°C, so the XR1300L wouldn't be suitable for this purpose.

Can the castors be removed?

Yes, the castors are removable for the purposes of fitting the unit though a smaller doorway. The height of the freezer without the castors is 1559mm. Note that freezer should not be used without the castors in position.

Are the shelves removable?

Yes, the shelves can be removed altogether if you'd prefer to simply load double-size gastronorm pans. As standard, there's space for up to four GN pans using the shelf runners supplied. More GN capacity can be added by purchasing extra shelf runners (sold separately).
